IMG_6157riding our bikes was def. my favorite thing to do in Paris. the energy was intense. the culture is unmatched. it will take Denver decades to reach that level of bike culture!

one of our stops was the Galerie Lafayette! I didn’t have plans to shop in this gigantic, super fancy department store! it’s def. not my type of place! but, many of our friends suggested we went up to the terrace in the top floor for the view of Paris! and it was well worth it!

IMG_6067IMG_6073IMG_6155IMG_6150it’s a fantastic view of the city, of the parisian rooftops!

IMG_6190IMG_6153inside the department store you have this view: the building is breath taking! it looks like an old theater! it’s gorgeous! I think we stopped there and looked around for a while, speechless!

IMG_6151how do you explain this place?

IMG_6201we also tried to have a nice picnic by the Torre Eiffel – I think this first day was 100% touristy! But I’m in love with it! we shopped at this nearby market, got a few bottles of wine, bread, cheeses, Danette, some other deliciousness and biked back to the tower!

IMG_6191it’s a shame I don’t have a picture from our picnic! it was so cold and windy, we didn’t stay longer! we ate and biked back home along the seine! it was fantastic though, we pick up the sunset by the river and it was gorgeous!

I had my first Pierre Hermé macaroons and they were as amazing as everyone says! maybe even more amazing! we biked in Paris, I saw the Arc du Triumph, the Eiffel Tower, the gorgeous Galerie Lafayette and had the best time with my love! that night I slept! I slept like I was dead! I was so happy!
